Marco Rubio: Amnesty Stooge, Dupe of the Open Borders Leftists

Marco Rubio can't seem to leave well enough alone. Just as the dust was beginning to settle on the furor over the his amnesty deal -- in which he became the Democrats poster boy for the cause and therefore their stooge -- he has to remind everyone about it all over again:

Sen. Marco Rubio is warning that President Obama may allow many undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S. by executive action if Congress fails to pass an immigration reform bill.
Rubio (R-Fla.) has remained relatively quiet since he helped pass a major immigration bill through the Senate in June. The legislation would legalize undocumented immigrants in exchange for border security and enforcement provisions.

But now he's reviving a message he has sent to conservatives who have criticized his efforts and don't want to see immigration reform pass: Congress can pass a bill with both border security and legalization, or they can sit on their hands and Obama could offer legal status to undocumented immigrants by himself.

"I believe that this president will be tempted, if nothing happens in Congress, he will be tempted to issue an executive order as he did for the DREAM Act kids a year ago, where he basically legalizes 11 million people by the sign of a pen," Rubio said in an interview Tuesday on WFLA Radio's "The Morning Show with Preston Scott."
It's troubling that this young senator who not too long ago showed a lot of maturity and promise would prove to be nothing more than a patsy for the left on one of their biggest pet causes -- open borders and amnesty. If he'll sell out on this issue, what else will he sell out on? What other issues will the leftists be able to confuse and befuddle him on in the future?

Rubio is right on one point: Perhaps Barack the Terrible WILL subvert Congress and the Constitution and sign blanket amnesty for 11 million illegals into law. But that is no reason to pass a bill that amounts to the same thing just to beat Barry to the punch. But Rubio persists in his complete misunderstanding of what is going on here:
"We won't get E-Verify. We won't get any border security," Rubio said."But he'll legalize them. What I've tried to do is come up with as best as possible, given the controls of the Senate, a way to start this conversation to at least begin to address some of these issues."
Rubio needs to understand that he won't get any of this anyway. The radical leftists -- Barry included -- want nothing less than total amnesty and open borders and they will stop at nothing to get it.

Rubio apparently doesn't remember that we went through all of this before back in 1986 when he was just a wet-behind-the-ears teenager. The same promises about border security were made and here we are nearly 30 years later talking about this immigration mess again because the promises the leftists made back then weren't kept and they won't keep them this time either.

We don't have an immigration problem in this country. We don't have a "broken" immigration system. We have an orderly system of immigration and a set of border security laws that aren't being enforced. Rubio is a dupe if he thinks MORE border security laws are the answer and he's even more of a dupe if he thinks these new laws will be enforced.

As conservatives, we need to think long and hard about Rubio's political future and the wisdom of allowing someone who can be so easily duped by the leftists to continue his upward political trajectory.
