The Big Universal Health Care Lie

During the big ABC/White House universal health care infomercial, Barack Obama uttered the phrase that he's uttered dozens of times during his long process of attempting to destroy our health care system:

So what we're saying is, if you are happy with your plan and your doctor, you stick with it.
Opponents of the President's health care plan -- that would include me in case you hadn't noticed -- have always asserted that this is The Big Lie because the goal is actually to destroy the private health insurance market and end up with everyone on the crappy government plan. Turns out that this is not only true, it even admits this fact on page 16 of the bill:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.
So in essence, what this paragraph means is that sure you can keep your insurance -- until you, change jobs or until you want to change your enrollment or until you lose your coverage under one plan for whatever reason and want to get another. Sorry, because after "the legislation becomes law" your only option is the public option. Ask a Canadian or a Brit how well their public option works. This is evil folks, and we must stop it!
